(ImaxTree) Looks from the Vanessa Bruno spring 2013 collection + the designer, center
Two years ago, when Paris-based designer Vanessa Bruno opened her first US shop—in Los Angeles!—we were deadly jealous. But come next February, we can pack that little green monster away—because Bruno is set to open her first brick-and-mortar pop-up-shop, a precursor to a permanent standalone retail location, in New York.
"I'm not a typical French girl who's only been in Europe and doesn't know America," Bruno told the New York Times back in 2010, when she debuted her West Hollywood boutique. "I of course have the Parisian way of seeing things, but I definitely have this laid-back, young American spirit in what I do."
Bruno's New York pop-up-shop will debut during New York Fashion Week in early February 2013. The 1,600-square-foot space will house the brand's covetable, easy-to-wear pret-a-porter line. According to a report in WWD, "the company plans to have between 60 and 80 doors in the country, including department stores" by 2015.
