The Internet Gods (er, the Net-a-Porter execs) have heard your luxury online shopping cries, and now, they're delivering — Net-a-Porter, the London-based fashion e-tailer known for it's highly curated designer picks and freaky-fast shipping, is finally (after 13 years!) expanding into beauty.
Starting March 20th, the shopping site will launch "The Quintessential Edit," featuring a collection of luxury beauty brands such as Aesop, Beauty Works West, Chantecaille, James Read, Le Métier de Beauté, Natura Bissé, Philip B, and Sarah Chapman, to name a few.
Spanning color cosmetics, nail polish, fragrance, haircare, and skincare, the items will range in price anywhere from Chantecaille’s $35 glossy lipsticks to Joya Ames Soeurs' $500 solid perfumes. (You know, typical Net-a-Porter pricing...)
“The proposition is really where the beauty-meets-fashion aspect, and we see it as so symbiotic with the rest of our offerings. As we’ve developed our content, beauty is such a big part of fashion,” Alison Loehnis, the company’s managing director, told WWD. “As we started to expand it was a disconnect to not be able to offer beauty. By being at the front lines, we have an enormous amount of insight and exposure to talent and also product.”
Welp, ladies, you've got five days to get your wallet ready. You've been warned.
