Katy Perry is a bona fide red carpet all-star, so we've come to expect the Roar singer to pull out all the stops, and maybe kick off a trend or two while she's at it.

Take the look that she wore to the 2013 AMA's last week, for example. That sweeping, Southern belle-inspired polka dot and floral Oscar de la Renta strapless gown was gorgeous, but it was the yellow purse fashioned into a book clutch that really stole the show. Take a closer look.

Super cute, right?

For the record, the book clutch trend has been simmering with style bloggers and socialite fashionistas for a while, but now that Katy's gone and done it, we think it might just hit fever pitch in 2014.

But we digress. Want one? The Webster's New World Dictionary Clutch was designed by Olympia Le-Tan, and it's currently available at FarFetch.com for $2050. (If that's too rich for your blood, head over to KateSpade.com where you'll find three of our favorite literary classics in clutch form: The Age of Innocence, A Tale of Two Cities, and The Portrait of a Lady, all priced at a much more palatable $328.)
