15. Create A Shame List
Okay this isn't as scary as it sounds! But in order to help you realize how frivolous and knee-jerk some of your wants are, create a list that's going to keep a running count of Stuff-You-Just-Don't-Need. So say last week you wanted to buy a decorative pillow, an eyeshadow palette, a beer making kit, and another striped sweater (you already have seven.) Seeing them all on the list will make you realize two things: You're getting on just fine without them, and they were all kind of trigger happy to begin with!
