Not content to just gird the loins of emo kids around the world, Hot Topic has announced it's launching Blackheart, a standalone lingerie chain targeted at women who are looking for something a bit edgier in the intimates mass market.
Blackheart's slogan? "Love You to Death."
"The Blackheart lingerie concept is a test that allows us to leverage the Hot Topic customer and offer her product categorie that will not cannibalize the core Hot Topic brand," the company's Chairman and CEO Lisa Harper told WWD.
Blackheart will launch November 15th at shopping centers in California—including the Irving Spectrum, the Glendale Galleria, and the Brea Mall—as well as in Texas at the Houston Galleria and the Baybrook Mall.
Products at Blackheart will be priced from $5 (accessories) and $8.50 (panties) to $44.50 on the high end for bras and $78 for apparel.
