6. Do Pretend You're Meeting A Friend
A great tip to settle any jitters is to pretend you're meeting a friend and not a date. For example, if you asked a colleague you really liked as a pal to go out to lunch, would you be all nerves and pit stains? No, you would grab a burrito together and laugh and have fun through your hour break. Force yourself to see this new person as your friend, and you'll enter the situation with a different vibe and a more outgoing, less-pressure demeanor.
