Mercy Otis Warren And Abigail Adams
Abigail Adams was John Adams' wife, and Mercy Otis Warren was the spouse of James Warren, but these weren't ladies who sat around a parlor room and gossiped over tea sandwiches. They were passionate, outspoken, and educated revolutionaries, and were friends for over the span of four decades. 

Warren was was a political writer and propagandist of the American Revolution, where she would write poems and plays that pushed back against royal authority. Adams was passionate about women's rights, and is known for her March 1776 letter to her husband and the Continental Congress, pleading them to remember women when writing statutes and laws, or else women will have no other choice but to eventually revolt. 

The two women spent most of their lives discussing politics and philosophy through sent letters, sharing a passion for freedom and change.
