Sharon And Shirley Firth
Sharon and Shirley Firth are the First Nations twin sisters who went on to compete in cross-country skiing at four Olympic Games, making them the first indigenous athletes to represent Canada at the Games. Not only that, but they also were members of the first Canadian women’s cross-country ski team at the Olympics. They broke down a lot of barriers in sports, winning 79 national medals all together.
