George Eliot And Harriet Beecher Stowe
Though they didn't live on the same continent, English novelist George Eliot, and author of the anti-slavery novel Uncle Tom's Cabin, Harriet Beecher Stowe, were pen pals.

They were both introduced to each other at the peak of their careers, and while they never actually met in real life, they created an incredibly close bond through their correspondences. They would discuss their work, give each other advice, and just be gal-pals across the Atlantic.
