15. Rumi
Don't get us wrong; we love the name Rumi and always have, especially for a girl. So, we don't necessarily disagree with Beyonce and Jay-Z's decision to name one of their newborn twins after an ancient and insightful Persian poet.

This is a poet whose name and legacy the power couple will certainly draw attention to, at least when it comes to those who had no awareness of it before. But on the other side of the coin? Their decision does waver uncomfortably close to cultural appropriation. In addition to Persian roots, the name also has Japanese roots.
