1965: 'The Sound of Music'
Undoubtedly a classic to this day, The Sound of Music, starring Julie Andrews, follows a young Austrian woman sent to be governess to seven children with a windowed father. She transforms the children's lives with her kindness and love of music, and although she was studying to become a nun, she ends up marrying the children's father right at the brink of the German invasion. The musical film received five Academy Awards.
