9. RMS Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA
The art deco interior of the RMS Queen Mary may look swanky as all hell, but its story isn't quite so charming beneath the surface. The ship-turned-Long-Beach-hotel once served a luxury ocean liner, during which time murder and mysterious deaths abounded on board. One gruesome example? A sailor was crushed by a door in the engine room, which has been considered haunted by "paranormal activity" ever since. Are you brave enough to visit now?
