6. St. Augustine Lighthouse in Florida
There's something so enchanting about a lighthouse, both in the symbolic sense and otherwise. In the case of the haunted St. Augustine Lighthouse in Florida, the site is certainly alluring. It draws more than 200,000 people a year –– although that's not accounting for visitors from beyond the grave.

It's said that this lighthouse first became haunted when the keeper fell to his death while painting the tower. Next? Three young girls drowned when the cart they played in broke, upending them into the ocean. Some visitors claim to have seen the spirit of the former lighthouse keeper and hear the sounds of children's laughter in and around the grounds. Spoooky.
