Drybar Is Styling Nurses' Hair at Children's Hospital LA This Month and It's Awesome
The initiative is for CHLA's month-long Make March Matter fundraising initiative.
If you're a basketball fan, your March just got a lot better with the start of the NCAA March Madness tournament. But there's another amazing March initiative underway and you don't have to know anything about hoops to get excited about this one. We're all about Make March Matter, a month-long fundraiser to support Children's Hospital Los Angeles. There are 100 businesses participating in the effort in various ways this year (more than $1 million was raised last March) and the funds go right back to support CHLA, which sees 500,000 young patients annually.
One of our favorite programs this year is the partnership with Drybar. Every Friday in March, Drybar stylists are offering complimentary services to nurses and patient moms at CHLA. It's a fantastic pick-me-up for participants, who undoubtedly have tough jobs.
Here are a few pictures from the first two Fridays:
In addition to the services at CHLA, Drybar is also donating $1 from every blowout sold in their L.A. shops, up to $50,000. The money will go to the Helping Hands Fund, which ensures patients receive the life-saving care they need.
There are plenty of other awesome fundraising efforts going on this month to support Make March Matter as well. The month kicked off with Kim Kardashian West visiting two CHLA patients and Malin Akerman is attending a fashion event at Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills on 3/17 and 10% of the proceeds from Theory, ALC, Rag and Bone, Frame, J Brand will be donated to CHLA. The Clippers are hosting a MMM fundraising takeover on 3/29. And plenty of celebs are taking part by visiting children at the hospital.
