Starbucks' Four New Holiday Cups Will Give You All The Retro Christmas Feels
This year, Starbucks isn't skimping on Christmas.
Halloween is over, and just like that we have transitioned into the holiday season. Well, according to Starbucks that is. Starting November 2, the coffee chain's iconic holiday cups will hit stores, getting everyone excited for all the festivities happening over the next few months — or, for their latte, at least.
Since 1997, Starbucks has released new holiday cup designs every year, with some stirring up quite a bit of controversy. Yes, coffee cups have made people upset. Many have claimed that the cups are not "Christmasy" enough, so this year you can bet on getting all the Christmas feels. In a company statement, Starbucks said they channeled the "nostalgic and joyful taste of the season," which has produced these four holiday cups with a definite retro vibe.
First there is the "Stargyle," which features an adorable green argyle print with stars. Then there is "Stripes," a simple two-toned red cup that supposedly features hints of rose gold, though you can't tell from this picture. "Flora" is complete with red coffee cherries and light green leaves, looking a whole lot like holly. And last but not least, "Espresso Houndstooth" has a cool, kind of trippy, smokey design.
Adding to the Starbucks holiday excitement, are their new-ish holiday drinks (many are just making a comeback). As usual, you'll be able to order a Peppermint Mocha or Gingerbread Latte, but you will also be able to get a Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Eggnog Latte, and Toasted White Chocolate Mocha. (Would you like some coffee with your sugar? Just kidding, we love these drinks too.)
And if you need any more incentive to jet to your local Starbucks, on November 2 only, they will be giving out their limited-edition red reusable cups to customers while supplies last. This year, Starbucks is serious about spreading all the Christmas cheer.
