16. Roll with the moods.
Even with all the preparation in the world and the most consistent routine, fits are still likely to happen when you have a toddler. While some people may give you dirty looks, don’t be embarrassed. Everyone with a kid has been there before. Your best tactic is to quickly (and calmly!) remove your child from the scene and find a quiet place to better assess his or her needs. And, yes, I know, sometimes this is easier said than done with a kicking and screaming little person, but often a little focused one-on-one attention will fix everything.
