15. Be mindful of your reactions.
Children are mirrors. They know when you’re worried and they worry too. Likewise, if they witness you overly angry or upset about something, they’re likely to repeat the same emotion when they respond to the world around them. Start paying attention to your own reactions and then watch for similar responses in your kids. This is especially important if you have a tendency to get stressed out during the holidays.
