10. Make food fun and available.
If you have a picky eater, make the same old options more attractive with some easy tricks:

Cookie cutters! So many things can be cut into fun shapes with cookie cutters. It’s amazing how suddenly a star-shaped sandwich or apple slice becomes more palatable to your tot.

Create a story around the food. If mashed potatoes become snow and broccoli becomes trees, kids can suddenly tolerate putting them in their mouths. Basically, the food has to be fun enough to make it worth sitting still long enough to eat.

Keep toddler-friendly snacks in a cabinet or drawer your child can access. While they might not always love the options they find, at least you’ll know they’re hungry when they go rummaging through their cabinet.
