6. Sweden
A big chunk of Christmas tradition in Sweden functions around St. Lucia, a young Christian martyr who used to bring food to the persecuted Christians who lived hiding in the catacombs of Rome. Now, on December 13th, St. Lucia's Day is celebrated by a girl dressing in a white dress with a red sash around her waist, and crown of candles on her head.
