30. Not All The Hormones Have Been Figured Out
While scientists have a decent understanding of hormones and how the body works, some of it still remains a mystery. For example, the thyroid gland produces calcitonin which appears to control calcium levels, but research still hasn't proved this. Nor has it figured out what else calcitonin might do... ooh, the mystery of it all!
