Marketing Associate, Audience Development – San Francisco Bay Area

Livingly Media is looking for a Marketing Associate to join its Audience Development team. This is a consumer online marketing position. The Associate will work closely with marketing and editorial staffs to select content, craft headlines and descriptions, promote content via search and social media, and then optimize results. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the marketing team and our three editorial teams to identify new content to promote across search and paid social media partnerships.
  • Write compelling headlines and descriptions to help attract audiences. Try many different headlines simultaneously (in an A/B testing environment) to select the best one based on click statistics.
  • Manage content in spreadsheets: sort, filter, and annotate. Use data and statistics about our readers to decide which pieces of content to remove from marketing channels versus promote.
  • Help the editorial team edit content to improve reader engagement. Make recommendations for stories that might perform well in marketing channels.
  • Pull reports from various online interfaces, including Google Analytics and other partner login accounts.

Skills and Experience:

  • BA/BS: ideally in marketing, advertising, or related field of study
  • Strong writing skills a MUST
  • Familiarity with online advertising and social media platforms
  • Familiarity with reports and spreadsheets (Excel and Google Docs), and an aptitude for optimizing marketing results based on the numbers
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team or individually as needed
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in creative brainstorm sessions to conceptualize ‘big idea’ revenue-generating programs

Interactive Designer, Creative Services – San Francisco Bay Area

We are looking for an Interactive Designer with 2 to 3 years of experience creating and producing high-impact interactive advertising to join our Creative Services team.


  • Work closely with Director of Experience & Design, Director of Marketing Solutions and Marketing Solutions team to produce artwork for all campaigns we produce in-house
  • Coordinate post-sale ad production with NYC-based team
  • Create animated/interactive ads using the Flite Studio authoring environment (
  • Deliver all necessary assets for all campaigns to Ad Ops and ensure ad units display as specified when they run

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in a design-related major
  • Be passionate about designing for digital media, interactive advertising and finding ways to connect readers with top brands in new and unique ways
  • Intuitively understand the opportunities and limitations of the medium, particularly as they apply to balancing the needs of an advertiser, a publisher and the intended audience
  • Be a design thinker that can provide meaningful recommendations when necessary
  • Be a fast learner with special aptitude for picking up the nuances of new technologies and successfully applying them to current and future projects
  • Demonstrate the ability to synthesize direction from multiple stakeholders (e.g. sales, marketing, design) into beautiful creative that serves business and campaign goals
  • Demonstrate a track record of producing high-impact interactive advertising campaigns for a wide variety of premium brands (e.g. Macy’s, Coach, Target, Nestle, L’Oreal, etc.)
  • Have a keen eye for aesthetics and typography on multiple platforms (desktop, mobile)

  • Be extremely well organized and capable of setting up an efficient ad production workflow

Technical skills:

  • Possess expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Working knowledge of Flash, HTML5 and the contrast between the two
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
