The Downsides of the KALORIK MAXX

After reading several reviews of the air fryer it seems that the biggest complaints have to do with noise. Some people feel that the air fryer buttons beep way too loudly and that the fan is a little too loud as well. One user also said that it requires a bit more cleaning than they expected after cooking food inside of it. 

A review on Amazon described the air fryer as being “cheaply made.” They continued saying that the fryer was, “Very poorly constructed, misaligned stamped metal that is very thin.”

One other complaint was that the timer only allows you to set it to up to 90 minutes. This makes it difficult to use as a dehydrator unless you remember to keep resetting the timer. 

What’s the Verdict?

When it comes to purchasing an air fryer you need to weigh up your own specific needs. The Kalorik MAXX is a bit on the pricey side, coming in just under $200 at $199.96. With ten different functions, more than the average air fryer, if you plan to use all of them, it’s worth the hefty price tag. The french doors are a unique feature, making it a lot easier to load and unload your food or check on it mid-cook. 

If you’re not concerned about noise, this is a good choice for you too. If you are, this one can be a bit loud, so make sure you’re aware of that before purchasing. Other things to remember is that the timer can only be set for 90 minutes, so if you’re planning on slow cooking something, keep that in mind. It’s also not as easy to clean as some other air fryers out there on the market.
