Weekend Beauty Dare: DIY Pineapple Papaya Skin Soother

Weekend Beauty Dare: Pineapple Papaya Skin Soother DIY(Source: Blendtec)This weekend, we challenge you to stay in and treat yourself one night. Nina Curtis, beauty expert for Blendtec blenders, shared with us her edible Pineapple Papaya Skin Soother recipe. All you need is fresh ingredients and a blender.

One ripe papaya
One teaspoon papaya seeds
One cup pineapple
One tablespoon raw organic honey
One teaspoon lemon juice

Put all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Curtis suggests a strong blender to mix recipes that include thick ingredients, such as papaya seeds, into fine powder to make them suitable for skin exfoliation. Apply mixture to dampened face and gently massage all over for about 30 seconds. Pay special attention to the T-zone area of the face. Leave the mixture on the skin for five to ten minutes, then rinse off completely. Apply your favorite moisturizer.

For the body, while in the shower, apply all over the body and pay special attention to areas where the skin is dryer or thicker, such as the elbows and knees. Massage the thighs, buttocks and back of the arms to exfoliate thoroughly and stimulate blood circulation. Finish with your favorite body cream.

For the feet, apply and wrap with saran wrap. Cover each foot with a hand towel for ten to 15 minutes. Remove saran wrap, massage feet well and rinse off. Complete with your favorite foot cream.

This skin smoother contains enzymes and physical particles for maximum exfoliation, to smooth, brighten and even out skin tone.
