Is Pink the New Red?

Is Pink the New Red?
(Angela Weiss/Getty Images North America)We've been so used to seeing a rich red lip on the red carpet these days that when an ultra feminine petal pink lip pops up, we can't help but go, "Ohhhh my." And lucky for us, we've seen a lot of ladies taking the pink route lately. Last night alone we spotted a handful of women going for a playful pout at ELLE's Women in Television Celebration. Take a look at who we spied unleashing their inner bubble gum queen:

Emmy Rossum chose a blush pink, low-shine lip for an ethereal look.

Emma Roberts opted for a more subtle look with a fleshy salmon lip.Is Pink the New Red?

Malin Akerman went all out with a high-shine electric pink smooch.

On the other end of the spectrum, Molly Sims went for a more natural look with a dewy, baby pink gloss.

We've been religiously using Susan Posnick's ColorEssential Lipstick in Boca ($21, SusanPosnick.com) since we got it. The pale, light coral color is soft enough for daytime wear, but with a hint of shimmer, it can easily transition into night. Just take a look at that shimmer for yourself. Is Pink the New Red?(Photo courtesy SusanPosnick.com)See what we mean? Addicting.
