This Tropical Lip Color is Trending for Winter
Blood orange lips aren't just for warmer months now. See how to wear the color, here.
We're all about pretending it's not winter here at StyleBistro. And it looks like we're not the only ones dreaming of warmer days. Hollywood is embracing a tropical trend we spotted on the runways during Spring 2015 fashion weeks. Blood orange lips were popular looks from Richard Chai Love and Tanya Taylor in New York to Sibling in London.
Although you'd think this vibrant hue is more likely suited for sunny days spent in the sand, we're spotting this orange-meets-red color on the lips of many a celeb during colder months. Not only is this supple hue fantastic for brightening up any look, but it works with a number of different skin tones and hair colors. See three celebs who have demonstrated the look flawlessly.
This redder hue complements Rosamund Pike's English Rose skin and blonde locks.
Rashida Jones chose a shade with a pink base to bring out her darker complexion and brown eyes.
Caitriona Balfe wore a color that has subtle coral undertones to bring out her flushing cheeks.
Want to give this look a try yourself? We're liking Milani's Color Statement Moisture Matte Lipstick in Matte Passion ($6) for a balance of orange and red.
