You've probably known the lyrics to Aladdin's "A Whole New World" since you were a kid — when you practically destroyed your VHS from watching the magical Disney flick over and over and over. But in all the times you laughed at the Genie or wanted a monkey of your very own, did you stop to think about who was actually bringing these characters to life? Yeah... didn't think so.

But today that all changes. Brad Kane and Lea Salonga — the singers behind Aladdin and Jasmine — reunited on Good Morning America Friday. They sang "A Whole New World" for the first time in 23 years — and it was like taking a magic carpet ride back to 1992. So shining, shimmering, splendid.

We practically cried — now see if you can hold it together for this gorgeous rendition. (By the way, Kane said he's only performed the song twice otherwise, for the initial recording and for his wife on their wedding day. OMG.)
