You Won't Believe What One of the Nerds from 'Can't Hardly Wait' Looks Like Now

It's amazing what 18 years will do for your looks.

Can't Hardly Wait is one of the movies that you loved when it came out in 1998 and you still love when you watch it on Netflix now. The hilarious foreign exchange student! The awesomely bad '90s style! The fact that Jason Segel was "Watermelon Guy"! It's all fantastic.

Also fantastic: realizing that one of the nerds (or X-Philes, as they're credited on IMDb) is actually quite attractive now.

Amazing what 16 years and a haircut will do! Here's a side-by-side for better comparison:

If you'll remember back to the high school movie gem, while William Lichter was in the house getting tanked on beer, Paulson and his pal were perched on the roof of the party house, waiting to execute a plan to ruin Mike Dexter's life. Instead, they dorked out and managed to drop their flashlights while pretending they were light sabers.

Before Can't Hardly Wait, Paulson had been on a few episodes of Cybill and we'd like to think it was his Huntington Hills High performance that kept him going in the spotlight. After 1998, he continued acting and even starred as Don Draper's younger brother in a couple episodes of Mad Men. Here he is as Adam Whitman:

Paulson was most recently in a TV show called The Whispers and even reunited with some of the cast of Can't Hardly Wait in November of last year. Talk about an amazing high school reunion shot.
