It's getting harder and harder to believe in love these days — especially of the celebrity variety. Heck, we're currently in the thick of two alleged nanny scandals. And, we're thoroughly convinced that if Miss Piggy and Kermit can't make it, there's no hope for the rest of us. Sigh.

But it's not all doom and gloom for the Hollywood set, even though it feels that way this week. Mixed in with reports of Gavin Rossdale allegedly cheating with the babysitter is the exciting news that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux tied the knot Wednesday. Score one for love!

The happy couple exchanged vows in front of about 70 friends and family members at their Bel Air home Wednesday, surprising guests who thought they were going to Theroux's birthday party. They've been engaged for almost three years now, so the wedding has been a long time coming.

We all know that the simple act of saying "I do" isn't exactly enough to secure a "happily ever after" ending, but we actually think Jen and Justin have a good shot at growing old together. Here's why:

1. They maintain a work-life balance.

Dating in Hollywood is always tricky, especially when you're a high-profile A-list star like Aniston. But it seems like she's found the perfect balance with Theroux. He's famous enough to understand how life in the spotlight works, but he isn't...Brad Pitt. Jen and Justin make adorable appearances on the red carpet together every once in a while, and, otherwise, it seems like they spend most of their time acting like regular people. You know, as regular as you can get while living in Bel Air in a $22 million mansion. Regardless, they seem to balance work and life well — together and separately as actors.

2. They say the cutest things about each other.

When these two do open up about their relationship to the media, it's always downright adorable. Aniston talked about her man at an event last summer: "He's just so beautiful and handsome to me," she said. "He's just like a lost gem in the sand, and he's just always been there and been brilliant, and now this is just in a different light."

She also said he "was the best thing this decade" in her life.

3. They didn't jump into marriage.

It's always those stars who rush down the aisle that end up calling it quits almost as quickly. These two got engaged quickly (just over a year after they started dating), then spent the next three years making sure marriage was for them. If nothing else, at least we know they didn't tie the knot on an impulse.

4. They were friends first.

They met on the set of Tropic Thunder and hit it off immediately, even though they didn't start dating right away. You know how it is — romance that starts as friendship first is usually the real deal.

5. They overcame scandal unscathed.

These two haven't had an entirely smooth ride in the spotlight. Theroux ended his relationship of 14 years with Heidi Bivens around the same time he and Aniston started dating in 2011, and, of course, rumors of a cheating scandal spread across the web. We don't know for sure what really happened, but we do know the couple handled the media scrutiny gracefully and came out just fine. That's an important skill to have as a celebrity couple in case something like that ever happens again. This is Hollywood, after all.
