Not that they ever really went out of style, but ever since Angelina Jolie cocked her right leg all the way out at the Oscars last year, and Jennifer Lopez followed suit at the Grammys back in February, we're seeing a lot more one-legged appearances now more than ever.

We get it—when you're young and you've got a great pair of gams, why not show them off? (Especially when the rest of you is covered in a floor-length skirt or gown.)

If you're planning on working a thigh-high slit on New Year's Eve, make sure the leg on display is properly moisturized; an extra dry thigh is the last thing you want peeking out of your sexy, festive frock.

And if you want to take it one step further, apply Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs ($12.99 at on top. This leg makeup covers everything from scars, minor bruises, and varicose veins while adding a hint of shimmery sheen.
