Priyanka Chopra Rewore Her Wedding Dress For A Major 'Vogue' Cover
The star was the first-ever cover girl for the Love and Weddings issue.
In case you forgot what Priyanka Chopra's stunning wedding dress looked like, Vogue Netherlands has you covered. The publication released their first-ever Love and Weddings issue, featuring Chopra on the cover in her custom Ralph Lauren gown she wore to marry Nick Jonas in December 2018.
And if you weren't aware of the couple's backstory, Ralph Lauren was a fitting choice given the stars both attended the 2017 Met Gala as guests of the American designer. “For the Western wedding, we had been talking to a bunch of incredible designers, but ultimately when Ralph Lauren approached us, I learned that Ralph has only designed three wedding dresses in 50 years — one for his daughter, his daughter-in-law, and his niece. I was blown away," Chopra told People.
To add onto the sentimental value of her gown, Chopra included touching details throughout her look. The bride had her dress hand-stitched with eight different words and phrases of importance to her: Nick's full name, Nicholas Jerry Jonas; their wedding date; and her parents' names, Madhu and Ashok. One final touch? Priyanka had a piece of her new mother-in-law's wedding dress sewn into the look. Too sweet.
The custom design took 1,826 hours to create, was embellished with 2,390,000 mother of pearl sequins, and featured a 75-foot veil. And that was only for the Western wedding! During their three-day celebration in Jodhpur, India, Priyanka wore a gorgeous red Sabyasachi lehenga (an embroidered skirt with a matching cropped top and veil) for the Hindu ceremony.
Chopra's picture-perfect wedding dress wasn't the only must-see bridal look Vogue Netherlands featured. The issue highlights 25 brides and grooms around the world, including Ally Hilfiger (yes, Tommy Hilfiger's daughter) and Steve Hash, and Italian fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni and singer Fedez.
