In between her roles as a denizen of the runway and playing model muse to boy genius Zac Posen, Coco Rocha somehow finds time to also take part in a heartwarming philanthropic endeavor. By sheer serendipity, Coco met Lisa T.D. Nguyen, founder of Senhoa, at her 2010 Parisian wedding. Senhoa, an organization dedicated to helping Cambodian victims of human trafficking, trains survivors in the trade of high-end jewelry making, with all proceeds from the sales directly funding various community development projects, including income-generating opportunities, and aiding in the rescue, rehabilitation, and education of young women in South East Asia. Coco was so touched by the philanthropic work of the group that she embarked on a collaboration on a jewelry line that would be designed by the model maven herself and created by the very women that Senhoa was established to help.

Coco worked thoughtfully and diligently in designing a chic and elegant jewelry line. She exclusively told StyleBistro that the project was a mutual partnership—"a bit of me and a bit of them [the women] have been put into this." The pieces included in Coco's collection all have special meaning to the model beauty. "They're very powerful pieces...that's how we started—just making sure they were powerful-looking pieces," she said. Coco's favorite piece in the collection is the "Chantrea" necklace, which means moonlight in Khmer, is made of smoky translucent Swarovski crystals threaded into elaborate metalwork, meant to embody the light of the moon.

There are currently seven pieces in the Coco Rocha for Senhoa collection. Each piece is unique and was carefully crafted by trained craftsmen. In fact, one intricate piece in particular, complete with luxe Swarovski crystals, can't be created in bulk because it takes up to five days of painstaking handwork to produce! Items in the collection range from earrings to bracelets to necklaces, all exuding Coco's laidback, rocker-chic style aesthetic. The price point for the collection ranges from $65-$995.

Its wide range of jewelry pieces are meant to give women an opportunity to "accessorize your conscience." As Coco herself says, "accessorizing can do more than just compliment a woman's wardrobe and beauty—it can make a statement about what she believes in."

The gorgeous pieces launch just in time for the holiday season! The collection can be purchased at Senhoa's site.
