Editor's Pick: The Answer to Dry, Brittle Hair
Packed with restorative Helichrysium flower extract, this shampoo and mask duo make tresses oh-so-soft.
Dry, brittle, or over-proccessed: my hair answers to all of the above. So when I see those words branded on a shampoo bottle, I feel a deep responsibility to my challenged tresses to at least try the product out. Most of the time, the latest promising potion seems to work the first time, then fall flat the second. Not Theorie's Helichrysum Nourishing Shampoo ($26) and Hair Mask ($32). I've been using these babies religiously for well over a month, and can officially state they're the answer to my sad, dry hair's prayers.
The secret ingredient? Extract of the Helichrysum flower, a cute little yellow bud known for its moisturizing, reparative and antioxidant-packed superpowers. The idea, according to Theorie, is that this all-natural booster nurtures follicles and protects hair from dehydration. And they aren't kidding: my mane has never been so silky-soft. Like, I can't stop touching it.
I should add that the shampoo is a gentle, sulfate-free formula, so it won't strip your natural oils (or color). Meanwhile, the hydration-bestowing mask, which boasts hyaluronic acid and ginkgo biloba leaf extract, seems to be a great regular conditioner for my super-parched strands. But if you're looking for something lighter, check out Theorie's Helichrysum Nourishing Conditioner ($26)—and the range's hair serum ($39) and hairspray ($28) while you're at it.
