Every girl has her "going out" essentials. By "going out," I mean hitting up a few clubs or bars for a night of libations and dancing. Some women, such as Kate Moss, need the "highest heels with the shortest dress," while others require a good blowout or chic clutch. I prefer to carry as little as possible on nights out: cash, ID and cellphone. Luckily these all fit into my handy Speck card-holding phone case, but I have nowhere to stash my keys. Usually, I just leave them behind and ring my doorbell at 3am until someone lets me in. Yeah, not ideal.

After trying crossbody bags I eventually deemed too big and finding most wristlets a hassle, I discovered the perfect "going out" solution: Punchcase. Started by handbag designer Leslie Hsu, formerly of Calvin Klein, Jonathan Adler and Zappos, the accessories brand combines function and fashion. The rectangular crossbody bags ($69–$99) and wallets ($69–$89) compactly carry your cell, money and other necessities such as keys or a tube of lipstick for touchups. The thin strap also won't be in the way of your outfit. In fact, the array of neon shades can even add a welcome accent (looking at you, LBD-lovers).
