As someone with naturally wavy hair, curls aren't that difficult to come by for me. Any time I get a blow out or go to the salon, stylists remark how well my hair holds a curl. Although I know this is a fantastic characteristic of my hair, I rarely wear it curly simply because I find it incredibly difficult to find a hot tool that can tame my mane.

Luckily, I may have met my match with ghd's Curve Soft Curl Iron ($245). The one-and-a-quarter-inch barrel of the iron not only can handle my mass of hair, but it can turn it into soft tumbling curls. The iron heats up uncommonly fast and is ready to use before I've even finished brushing my mane. With no changeable heat setting, the barrel relies on the iron's tri-zone technology, which allows the tool to keep a consistent temperature along the shaft. No more guessing if this temperature is going to burn off my hair or not.

The spring-activated lever is perfect for maintaining and holding my medium to long hair while curling, leaving me with the bouncing, fancy-girl curls I've always wanted but could never achieve on my own. And as the official hair tool sponsor for the 2014 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, ghd and the Curve Soft Curl were behind all of those killer waves seen on the Angels. I may have already been pleased with my lovely locks before, but to know I'm using the same secret weapon as VS models makes this obsession even sweeter.
