If you've ever seen photos of the inside of Karl Lagerfeld's studio, you know the Chanel head honcho is more than a little obsessed with books: His collection clocks in around 300,000 tomes. For his latest independent scent, Karl's taking his love affair a giant step further.
Paper Passion will have a "fatty nuance" evocative of the scent of paper. In keeping with the theme, the fragrance will be packaged in a hollowed-out hardcover book. While Lagerfeld isn't the first to come up with a literary-inspired scent, it still sounds a bit kooky to us.
What do you think, does Karl's eau de la bibliothèque sound good to you?
