Season 5 star Kellie Pickler made a brave statement on Good Morning America today by buzzing off her beautiful blonde locks in the name of breast cancer awareness.
“Cancer does not discriminate,” Pickler said in a statement.
The singer did the valiant act in support of her long-time BFF, Summer Holt Miller, who was diagnosed with breast cancer back in June. The duo faced the razor together, right before Miller starts her first round chemotherapy this week.
“If this compels even one person to change their mentality toward waiting until the age of 40 for their mammogram, then it will be worth it,” Miller said.
