Jennifer Lopez Spotlights Up-and-Coming Australian Designer Yeojin Bae on 'Idol' The power of J. Lo (FameFlynet) Jennifer Lopez has worn everyone from Gucci to Lanvin to Hervé Leger this season on American Idol, but during Wednesday night's Top 5 live performance show the superstar decided to throw her considerable fashion weight behind someone a bit less well known: rising Australian designer Yeojin Bae.

Lopez chose a figure-hugging, tomato red version of the dusty pink silk dress with pin-tuck detailing and a cream-colored mesh inset that Bae featured in her Spring 2012 collection. The sexy frock was paired with large hoop earrings, nude Christian Louboutin heels, and a gold cuff bracelet.

Yeojin Bae, 37, previously worked at Marc Jacobs and Anna Sui before launching her own line in 2006. Maggie Grace and Australian actress Emma Booth have previously donned Bae's dresses on the red carpet, but American Idol's 16 million viewers certainly represent a far larger platform for the designer.

“Jennifer Lopez looks stunning,” Bae tweeted during Idol. We couldn't agree more.
