Naomi Campbell has had her moments, but when it all boils down, she has a big heart. On May 16, Naomi's taking her Fashion for Relief charity catwalk to the Cannes Film Festival to raise funds for Japan's tsunami relief efforts. Naomi has teamed up with Vogue Italia and the Red Cross for the event.
The supermodel founded the organization in 2005 and raised $1 million for victims of Katrina. Subsequent events have raised over $5 million over the years. Naomi is passionate about her project and says:
The destruction caused by the earthquake in Japan is completely heartbreaking, it's so hard to even begin to comprehend the tragic loss people are coping with. I felt very passionate to try and help in whatever way possible, to do our part and to support Japan at this time. I hope that the money raised from Fashion For Relief in Cannes will support those who need it most.
