Barneys is about to get a whole lot edgier! Former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld's future plans may be unclear, but for the time being you can get your fill of her sultry styling at Barneys.
She has teamed up with the luxury store for their fall 2011 campaign. Carine will style and edit their catalog and ad campaign, as well as lend her expert touch to their store windows in September. Carine is looking forward to the work and says:
It’s very exciting. It’s a new kind of project for me. It’s good to have a new life, because now I can do projects that I never dreamed of before. For me, Barneys has always been the biggest name in luxury department stores, so to be able to participate in this project with them, and be visible during the next fashion week in New York, is my dream come true.To a French girl, it’s a big, big dream.
Mario Sorrenti, the photographer for the campaigns, is also expected to shoot a short film with a focus on Carine. We're looking forward to both Carine's work for Barneys and the flick!
