Lena Waithe
Lena Waithe made history by being the first black woman to win an Emmy for comedy writing, thanks to her role on the Netflix series, Master of None. She is seen as one of Hollywood's disrupters, where she is cracking open a hetero-normative, mostly-white industry that is adverse to making space for stories that fall outside of those boxes. And by forcing the industry to make space for those different stories, she is helping people feel represented, and in turn, proud of who they are.

As she told Vanity Fair during her cover interview, "Being born a gay Black female is not a revolutionary act. Being proud to be a gay Black female is.”
