She's a world-famous Burlesque dancer, a model, an actress, a best-selling author and a lingerie and costume designer. And if all that weren't enough to keep Dita von Teese busy, she is also about to launch her first fragrance! The sultry starlet tells StyleBistro that she had an "amazing experience" working with perfumers about the process of creating the first ever signature Dita von Teese scent.
Dita worked with French experts for over a year to build the "perfect fragrance"—it was important to Dita that she thoroughly research all the essential elements to creating the perfect scent. Dita prefers to be involved in the creative process, saying "I need to proudly wear everything I put my name on."
The 'Queen of Burlesque' dishes on top-secret details of her first fragrance, telling us that the ads for the campaign were photographed by famed fashion photographer Ali Mahdavi. The fragrance is a chypre floral, with notes of rare Bulgarian Rose, elegant peony, tiare flower, sparkling Bourbon pepper and smoky gaiac wood to "create warmth and mystery."
Dita's fragrance was designed with a specific woman in mind. She explains,
I didn't want any sweetness, I wanted to make a perfume for a femme fatale, a woman who revels in the ritual of being a woman.
