Ever feel like people take their It-bags way too seriously? After all, why would anyone spend $1,000 on a super-serious fancy leather designer handbag when you can get a, uh, furry purple one with googly eyes instead?
Say hello to four bags from London-based designer Meadham Kirchhoff's fall 2012 "Monster" handbag collection. Aren't they adorable (and, okay, kind of weird)?
There's the purple faux-furry monster with the cute doggy nose and orange-red eyes above ($1,074); the fleecy baby-pink puppy-looking one with blue eyes below ($1,074).
Then there are the leather styles—this one, below, is a top-handle flap bag with fangs (awesome!) and retails for $1,128:
And this cute little metallic turquoise cross-body number has big juicy lips and yellow eyes (jaundice?). For $857.
Meadham Kirchhoff handbags are available at Colette. What do you think? Are these the antidote to all the boring old It-bags on the market today? Would you ever—even if you had the money—buy a $1,000 furry purple monster bag? Sound off in the comments!
