The third season of the hit TV show 'Girls' premieres tonight (January 12th) on HBO.

'Sex and the City', HBO's first iteration of a plot that centered around women’s love (and hate) affair with New York City, clearly paved the way for 'Girls'.  And it's a winning strategy.
