You Tell Us: Under What Circumstances Would You Wear This Outfit?

While flipping through the January 2013 issue of Lucky, I came across an outfit that was a bit of a head-scratcher.

Let's break it down, shall we?

The model on the right is wearing platform espadrilles and leather shorts, with layered floral tops under a lightweight blazer. Sounds pretty cute, right?

The shirts are cinched with a superfluous belt. Which, okay, fine. But then—here's the kicker—she piled on a woolly pom pom hat, a striped scarf, and yellow gloves.

If it's warm enough for shorts and sandals, does she really need those wintry accessories? Where could she possibly be going in such a seasonally diverse ensemble? Here are our best guesses:

This is the perfect outfit for leg-and-sandal models who are forced to work under extreme duress, in extremely cold photo studio environments.

She has a circulation problem where she only gets cold above her waist.

She was at the airport, leaving a tropical island, and en route to Aspen, but her carry on bag was too heavy to take on the plane. So, in a panic, she unpacked everything she could and piled it on herself. Take that, TSA!

Under what circumstances do you think one could wear the model's outfit? Sound off in the comments section, below!
