They're true! They're true! The rumors are true—The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton is pregnant!
Clarence House confirmed today in a press release that Prince William and Kate Middleton are, indeed, expecting a baby.
Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news. The Duchess was admitted this afternoon to King Edward VII Hospital in Central London with Hyperemesis Gravidarum [morning sickness]. As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter.Morning sickness! Can you believe that's why they finally made the official announcement? Poor Duchess, we hope she's alright.
We've had some, uh, growing suspicions for awhile now—considering the Duchess was no longer belting recycled looks like she normally does to show off her svelte figure. Add that to the strange amount of bouquets she'd been toting around (in front of her belly, nonetheless) and well, it was starting to become pretty obvs.
Now let the flood of questions begin—What will the royal baby wear? What will Kate's maternity wardrobe look like? Will the royal bun in the oven be a boy or girl? Names? Eep!
Feel free to go wild with speculation—and leave your congrats to the royal couple!—in the comments, below.
