If you're a fan of the HBO television series Girls, you're familiar with the concept of the "honest" girl group. The "girls" are Marnie, Hannah, Jessa, and Shosh, and they struggle through their twenties together. So what can we learn from these powerhouse ladies about being a member of a girl group? 1. Being without your friends is a fate worse than death.
2. However, having a close group of friends doesn't mean you have to abandon your independence.

You don't have to totally get it, to know it comes from a loving place.

You don't have give "pep talks", it's all about the "real talk".

Let go of any envy and simply admire their achievements.
6. You know that even if they say they're fine, sometimes they're really not fine.
It's okay, we'll pretend to believe you anyways.
7. Spontaneous dance parties are always encouraged.
