Great Hair Day: Jada Pinkett Smith's Stellar Bangs Jada Pinkett Smith
Jada Pinkett Smith has been rocking some seriously straight bangs as she accompanies her family on the Karate Kid press tour. Bangs might be, unofficially, the hardest hairstyle to care for. Yes, even more than highlights. Why? Well, they need major maintenance in order for them to look fab.

If you're thinking of getting bangs, or already have bangs, here are some tips to keep your fringe looking its best.

  • Trim regularly. Once, even twice a week, is best. In order to keep bangs at the perfect point on your forehead, you'll need to keep them tamed. Salons charge a nominal fee for bang touch-ups or you can do it at home.

  • Don't use a round brush. It will just result in really poufy bangs, use a boar-bristle paddle brush for the best results.

  • Blow dry fringe straight. Use a blow dryer with a really thin nozzle for the perfect blow dry. Point it downwards to avoid frizzies.

  • Use professional scissors. If you plan on trimming your bangs at home, invest in a professional pair of scissors—they're extra sharp and made for hair. House scissors could result in uneven edges and split ends.

Have a bangin' hair day!
