First up in the series: a perfectly teased half updo even Kate Middleton would envy.

Steps
1. Part off hair at the center of the head, starting an inch to an inch and a half back from the hair line. The rest of the hair should be center parted and clipped aside for later.
2. Split the back section into two—one small section on top, one larger section on bottom. Spray hairspray on the small section and back comb to create volume.
3. Smooth out any bumps, so all the teasing is hidden.
4. Pull back the rest of the side sections of hair that were clipped. Do not include any hair from the below section. Position slightly above the ears. Be sure to leave a few small strands of hair in front.
5. Take the two side sections of hair and pinch together in the back. Twist the hair counter clockwise to cover where the sections meet.
6. Use bobby pins to secure the twist. Smooth any flyaways on the crown.
7. If you prefer, you can pin back the two pieces of hair or spray and twist with a touch of hairspray to make it glam.
