The Big Braided Bun Tutorial(Source: Big Braided Bun

1. Take a one-inch section of hair on top of your part and split into three portions. This is the start of the Dutch braid, otherwise known as the inside-out braid.

2. To start the braid, cross the right piece of hair under the middle, then the left piece under the right to form a braid. When you cross the middle section under, add in some hair.

3. Continue braiding and only add in hair on the right side. Remember, when you cross under from the left side, you don’t add in any more hair. Angle your braid along your hairline and over the top of your ear. Stop adding in hair when you pass your ear. Finish the braid and secure with a small clear elastic. (Note: If you're not entirely comfortable with the Dutch braid, you can substitute with a normal three-strand French braid.)

4. Amplify your braid by gently pulling at the sides to widen it.

5. Gather the rest of your hair into a side ponytail, next to your braid.

6. Use a hair donut or sock bun to create a large side bun.

7. Tease ponytail to make it bigger before wrapping it around the padding and pinning underneath. This will make your bun extra voluminous.

8. Wrap your braid around the base of the bun and pin in place. Add a spritz of hairspray to secure.

his versatile look will take you from work to cocktails flawlessly.
