Rodriguez/Getty Images North America)It may have been a big year for Matthew McConaughey, but let's not leave out the woman who stood right by his side supporting him at every red carpet. His wife Camila Alves proved herself to be a bonafide beauty and style star all throughout award season, but our favorite look might have been the one she sported just a day before the Oscars at the Spirit Awards.

Not only did Alves stun in a strapless, crisp Juan Carlos Obando white jumpsuit, but her perfect "S" curls were a thing to behold. The voluminous curls showed off Alves's chocolate and caramel highlights perfectly as they tumbled over her shoulders. Think Hollywood hair like this is hard to re-create? Think again. We've got the how-to on geting you red carpet, full-bodied curls.

Begin with completely dry hair. To get your desired style, use a curling iron with a 3/4- to one-inch barrel. The width of the barrel will help determine the look of your curl. A 3/4-inch curling iron will give curls with more spring, while a larger curling iron will give bigger curls.

To start, set hair with a light setting spray and curl about one-inch sections of hair all over the head. For pieces closer to the face, follow the roll of the curl and pin them up with a clip. This will help keep these pieces extra bouncy.

Once you've curled the whole head, let it cool for 20 minutes. After hair has cooled, lightly brush it out with your fingers. You can also use your fingers to wrap hair around and twist to give added shape. Top off with a spritz or two of your favorite hairspray or finishing spray, and you're good to go!
